Courses Offered at Codman Academy in Dorchester

Dates: Mondays from 4:30pm-7:30pm, May 8, May 15, May 22, May 30 (Tuesday), and June 5. Dinner provided. 
  • Literature Circles 101: Teaching Students to Read Like Adults (Grades 6-12)
  • Culturally Responsive Teaching: How Does Culture Play a Role in Learning (Grades K-12)

Courses Offered at the Mission Grammar School in Mission Hill

Dates: Tuesdays from 4:30-pm-7:30pm, May 9, May 16, May 23, May 30, and June 6. Dinner provided.
  • Anything but Standard: Creative Ways to Engage Students in CCSS Writing (Grades 3-6)
  • Every Behavior Tells a Story: Modelling Social Emotional Skills in Academic Contexts (Grades Pre-K - 6)

Courses Offered at the Curley School in Jamaica Plain

Dates: Thursdays from 4:30-pm-7:30pm, May 11, May 18, May 25, June 1, and June 8. Dinner provided.
  • How to Read Like a Historian: Using Document Based Analysis in the Classroom (Grades 5-12)
  • How to Use Student Talk and Differentiated Checks for Understanding to Elevate Mathematical Thinking for All (Grades 1-5)

Please note: There is a maximum number of participants per course. In the event that the course is over-enrolled, participants will be notified and placed on a waiting list. Final registration confirmations will be emailed before courses start.
