Thank you for applying to become a 2018-19 Massachusetts CURATE Curriculum Fellow!

Curriculum Fellows will be selected to engage in one of four (4) subject area panels to review, analyze, evaluate, and synthesize evidence on the quality and alignment of core curricular materials.

The Spring 2019 panels will focus on curricula for curricula for ELA/Literacy (Pre-K - 2), ELA/Literacy (Grades 3-5), and Mathematics (Grades 6-8) and STE (Grades 6-8). Curriculum Fellows will meet 4 times in person or virtually on January 14, February 11, March 11, & April 8 (6:00-8:30 pm). In person sessions will be located at Microsoft Boston MTC, 5 Wayside Rd. Burlington, MA 01803.

During the 2018-19 school year, Curriculum Fellows will commit to:
  1. Attend four (4) in-person or virtual panel sessions (12 hours total)
  2. Independently review and synthesize evidence between sessions (approx. 12-15 hours)
  3. Collaborate with a team of educators to designate final quality and alignment ratings
*Upon conclusion of the panel process, Fellows will have the opportunity to share their findings and provide feedback to state curriculum leaders during two optional sessions at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Malden.

This application should take approximately 30-45 minutes to complete. Applications are due by 5:00 pm on November 19. If you have questions, please contact Rita Pello at rpello@teachplus.org.

Applications are screened for a variety of qualifications, knowledge and skills. The final cohort of selected Curriculum Fellows will represent a diverse set of perspectives and backgrounds, relevant subject-area expertise, and geographical diversity.
